[Rewarded Review] iPhone 14 plus
Jyrell· Review provided by bestbuy.com · January 17, 2024
My last iPhone was an iPhone X. I had that for 5 years. I switched to android for a little while to try something different as I’ve primarily been an Apple user for years now. At first I didn’t mind too much but when I decided to switch back to the iPhone again I decided on purchasing the 14 model. So far I have absolutely zero complaints. The phone is amazing compared to my last phone and also a great upgrade from my previous iPhone. I’m not huge on pictures aside from the usual everyday stuff. So I didn’t need a pro model iPhone. The speed of the phone handles any apps or games that I’ve tried so far. Battery life I can easily get a full 24 hours on a single charge and usually a lot more. I love all the new features that have been added to iOS since my previous iPhone. I also love the reliability of this device. Every app I used on my android device just works better on my iPhone. I would definitely recommend this device if you’re in need of something new but want to save some money versus getting the iPhone 15. Also most the stores carry the iPhone 14 accessories cheaper than the new ones. For example TJ Maxx and Marshall’s have had significant Apple accessories for 14 and older as well as many Apple Watch accessories too. So that has saved me a significant amount of money. Best Buy doesn’t offer such deals on cases etc. , regardless of the model they charge the usual full price amount. However if you already have an iPhone 13 I don’t believe that this is the device for you as the upgrades aren’t too far off from what you already have. I can’t justify spending that much money on an upgrade that isn’t truly an upgrade but more like an update if you will. I would either go for the 15 pro or pro max or wait for a newer iPhone. The regular 15 and 15 plus do not have as good of a USB-C port as its pro version. But the iPhone 15 plus has the longer lasting battery of the 4 available. If you’re just an everyday user that doesn’t need the faster charging/data transfer USB-C port or the pro camera features then that would be the way to go.

Apple has achieve the reputation and loyal customers in past few years by bringing extra ordinary technology and ease of use of their products. I remember I started iPhone only as my smartphone and never changed. There is always something new every year when they release new products and change is change and I love that the size, color, improved camera and other features should be the much reason to get the new realse. The whole team work hard to create the new advance technology to bring it for their loyal customers. I got this purple iPhone 14 Plus last year and love the color, camera and got a lot of space as I love taking pictures and making videos. Camera is so good and I would say this iPhone replace my professional Nikon and I don’t need to carry such an heavy camera everywhere. Life is easy now after this smart phone. My husband also use iPhone so it’s easy for us to share our subscriptions and other purchases. I am already looking forward for this year release and waiting what’s new they are bringing for us.
Not Unlocked

Bought the iPhone and immediately fell in love with it, I was skeptical about it at first seeing it was used but phone came in PERFECT condition, runs smooth and turned on no problem. Here’s my problem. I went to transfer my old number from Straight Talk because this is an eSIM phone and I talked to multiple representatives arguing with them about my phone because they kept telling me it was locked when it is not. I figure it was a straight talk thing and took the phone to MetroPCS where they told me the EXACT same thing. The phone is locked. I can not find the carrier it is locked to and I would’ve honestly given a 5 star if it was working properly. I was false advertised that this was an unlocked phone which is why I bought when it indeed is NOT unlocked. I have talked to multiple carriers and would like to know which one it is locked to because none of them will accept my phone. Extremely disappointed, don’t waste your time or money we have to get a refund because the seller does not answer the listed number and scammed us into thinking we were buying an unlocked phone.
Great iPhone but don't expect too much innovation.

Just upgraded after having the iPhone X for the last 6 years and it's a nice upgrade.

The pros:

Big crystal clear screen if eyesight is an issue or rely on using phone instead of tablet or laptop.
Phone is lighter than expected
Camera quality is a big upgrade
Longer battery life, approximately 2 days
Transferring data was a breeze, make sure software updates are done in advance!!!
Apple high quality workmanship

The Cons:
If you have a iPhone 11 or newer, this phone won't be much of an upgrade, better camera, processor and screen resolution only.

Tips:
Avoid the iPhone 15 or Plus as this is pretty much the same spec for more money, the 15 has a better camera and a slightly faster processor, THAT'S IT.
Avoid the Pro Max versions unless you're a professional photographer or influencer
Don't buy used as prices are similar to new, and you get 2 year warranty with John Lewis.

Overall, a great phone and worth the investment!
