January 19, 2024Maybe I’ll update my review in the future. But as of now, I’m hot off the stove with my disappointment. I ordered these D5 brushed brand new pots and guess what I received?’ Used and mixed-matched pots! Not even all of them were All-clad. Like there was no quality check or anything. Don’t know if the warehouse folks replaced the products with their used pots and pans but I’m so disappointed! The box was sealed and looked brand new but opened it thinking I get to use my new pots to cook today and NO! Can’t use them and can’t cook! Customer service said they will send a new shipment so I’ll wait to see what surprise is coming next. I was looking forward to using these pots and pans too. Can’t upload pictures…I’m so disappointed Macy's! Do better!

January 30, 2023I have tried them all. Cooking for myself, or a banquet for a 100. I passed my first set of what is now called D3 to one of my sons when he got settled. That was decades ago. I have never lacked for kitchenware. But I did lack a core set of saucepans, stock pots, and skillets. My French copper and enameled cast iron are great, but need care. For everyday I just didn’t have time or energy for that care.. And all the new brands I have tried just didn’t inspire me. This Christmas season, now back at work doing ministry (my actual vocation) I found that I needed sturdy, not too heavy, and dishwasher safe basic cookware. I tried a test run on a couple of sale priced All Clad D5 pieces. I was sold. When the 10 piece set went on sale I ordered it. I am enjoying cooking again, nothing fancy, just simple soups or sautéed meat or fish and streamed veggies. And wonderful for occasional fancy dinners for family and friends . Everything comes out perfectly, and the pots go into the dishwasher, so cleanup is fast and simple. This was an investment, a fancy way of saying that they were not cheap. The super sale price made it possible. And eventually I will pass this set on to children or grandchildren. But meanwhile I am enjoying a little bit of everyday luxury.
4 instead of 5 stars

January 6, 2024I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because the 2-qt sauce pan had to be replaced; currently awaiting the replacement piece. The pieces are a bit heavier than I expected; I suppose the 3-ply would've been lighter. Nevertheless, they're still a little lighter than the set they replaced. Still getting used to cooking at lower level heat, given the beautiful heat conductibility. Would have preferred more sauce pans instead of the larger stock pots included in the set. The 3-quart sauce pan I purchased separately also had a "chip" in the lid (like the 2-quart sauce pan lid I returned), and so that lid was returned for replacement as well. Although I purchased at a discounted price around the holidays, I still expected the superior quality one would expect from All-Clad. Love the set and would purchase again, as well as additional items to compliment the set. The return process wasn't too taxing.

March 12, 2024Wonderful pans! Even heating and well made. The lighter weight is a huge selling point for me as I have arthritis. I held off for quite a while due to cost but wish I had purchased them sooner. They are well worth the price.
I have read a lot of complaints about food sticking but if you actually read and follow the simple instructions of preheating and adding a small amount of oil, there isn't a problem.
Bar keepers Friend will easily clean any discoloration, which doesn't affect performance.
Love them, love them, love them!
