I purchased this for my grandson, age 6. He’s built several Lego projects in the past, so I didn’t hesitate even though he is not quite as old as the appropriate age listed on the box. This project is quite complex and definitely required adult assistance. It’s really cute when it’s complete; but it’s not all that sturdy. Lego’s aren’t made like they used to be, where they stayed stuck once you put them together. If you want this project to stay together as a showpiece, I would definitely recommend glue. I would buy it again, but I would probably wait until he was older.

The Birdhouse set has become one of our favorites of the Creator 3-in-1 series. The Birdhouse with the 5 different birds and hatchling are fantastic. Add in the perches for the birds, the opening birdhouse roof and side panel and the little bird feeder with “seed” and it’s built for play. The optional build for the park bench with the squirrel and hedgehog are too much to resist. The animal characters are cute and handle play time like pros. The Bee hive for the third option is okay. It doesn’t hold too much attention, though. The use of translucent bricks is a nice touch for the honeycomb but in the play world, the 1st two builds get all action. The Bird house is definitely a set that will be enjoyed. Get two sets if you want to display the Birdhouse and the Park Bench at the same time.

We love LEGO and this set is no exception! It is absolutely adorable. Unbelievable creativity with this set. My preteen son and I love to build LEGOs together. He does the building and I just hand him pieces. We both found things to love with this set. The birds were so cute and he loves the uniqueness of the bees and beehive. We haven’t built the hedgehog yet but it has all the detail you’ve come to expect from LEGO. LEGO 3 in 1 sets are fantastic because you can rebuild over and over again into different pieces. This set is not particularly difficult but it’s a fun, creative and unique set to add to your collection. We have such great memories building LEGO sets and can’t wait for our next build.

This is a great build! The birds could have easily been built exactly the same (the same pieces, just in different colors). But Lego took it a step further and made each bird slightly different and unique. What a great subtle detail.

I am always looking for Legos that can be displayed in my home any time of the year. What a whimsical colorful addition to my collection.

So often builds can be complex and beautiful, but also have a low profile. The elevation of this birdhouse creates a lovely level in my display which I enjoy. The height of this build was an additional selling point for me.
