WORST pans on the market
Alex S· Review provided by greenpan.us · June 28, 2024
I purchased these pans less than a year ago and straight out of the box I started having problems. I noticed small nicks and scratches on the pans, but chose to overlook it and give them a try. Right off the bat everything stuck to these pans. Non stick is a hefty claim considering everything I cooked stuck to these pans. Eggs, stir fry, you name it - it ruined it. Countless meals ruined with these “non stick” pans. After a few weeks I reached out to the company and their response was laughable and they did NOTHING to help or resolve the issue. Customer service is lacking as much as these pans are. I also purchased a full set that cost me over $400 so you can imagine why I’m so upset. On top of that the nicks and chipping on the pans got out of control and the pans are completely RUINED after not even 6 months of gentle use! I am not hard on things and I take care of my pans and these look like they’ve been through the war and back. See photos attached. One star is GENEROUS and I hope this review steers customers away because I have never been more upset or disappointed in a purchase in my life. I’m not sure why they have so many positive reviews, my guess is they are payed reviews or given products for free because this product deserves ZERO stars. Thanks for taking my money, and offering no solution to fix it. I will NEVER purchase from this company again.
HORRIBLE! So disappointed. 0 Stars if I could.

About a year+ ago, I bought what I thought was my first really nice set of pots and pans – Greenpan Performance 14 Piece Set Blue. The sales woman at Crate and Barrel convinced me that Green Pan was a top brand that would last a really long time, and that the Performance line was one of the best. I wanted something quality that would last me a long time. I’m incredibly disappointed; a year+ later, there are two major issues with this product.

One, everything - and I mean everything! - sticks to the 8” frying pan, making it impossible to cook anything with it (even with oil on low heat) and is an incredibly painful project to clean after every single use. It’s truly unusable at this point. The second issue is that the ‘twilight blue’ color is chipping off the edges of every surface, leaving silver chip marks all over every pot and pan making them look old and ragged, and I am only cooking for 2, so the 'wear and tear' is not that much.

The WORST part is that GreenPan says they have a 2-year warranty on their products. Customer service was the WORST. They won't replace or fix anything even after just one year! I highly recommend purchasing a different brand if you are looking for a quality cooking set that lasts, and that the company stands by and does right by their customers. GreenPan customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE.
Incredibly lightweight, easy to clean and maintain

These pans have been a lifesaver for me! They do require thoughtful use that is a bit different from traditional fry pans, but I can’t tell you how much they have infused cooking with fun and ease again!

First of all, when, getting ready to cook, make sure that you put the pan on a very low/simmer temperature on the burner for at least a minute and a half. Then, feel free to raise the temperature, though I rarely go past medium/medium high as they warm up quickly and evenly and any higher heat will create some residue on the pan and decrease the lifespan of the ceramic coating. Any residue comes off easily with just a soft brush or sponge. The Valencia line provides the quickest and easiest clean up I’ve experienced yet.

Secondly, when you have finished cooking, turn off the burner and let the pan cool off before using any kind of water to wash the pan. I usually move the pan of the burner I used to cook with so it will cool down quicker. The anodized coating is wonderful, but it does require as I said, before, some thoughtful use for it to last and perform as designed.

Finally, these pans are so lightweight! I have a condition similar to neuropathy that makes it difficult to lift heavy objects repeatedly, and I have found that cooking with cast-iron is absolutely impossible and other copper bottom-based pans are just too heavy for me to maneuver If you have arthritis or anything else that creates some kind of difficulty when handling traditional pots and pans, this line is a wonderful alternative . It has created less stress and much more enjoyment in cooking again.

Make sure to invest in some silicon or other BPA, free plastic cooking utensils, and avoid metal completely. Also, store them with some kind of towel or other soft object to protect the pans when stacking them in storage.

The only improvement I could see would be to put a double coating around the lip of each pan, as using lids does tend to inevitably mark the lip of the pans, though I am careful to avoid metal in any other circumstance.

I have a set of nesting Valencia pots that I use as well, and the five piece set has changed my cooking experience 100%!

Follow these simple recommendations (all spelled out in the users manual, btw) and you may just experience the joy of cooking again. Customer Service has always been very helpful and easy to contact, so I have nothing but great things to say about Greenpan.

Thanks, and I hope this is helpful for other folks out there who are considering investing in the Valencia line.
13 Piece set review - low quality pans

I bought this set through Macys last year with high expectations. I wanted a high quality, safe to use set. At first that’s what I thought I got. After about 6 months of use, the pans started to deteriorate significantly. The chipping started and they were hardly nonstick anymore. We take incredible care of these pans and follow all use and cleaning instructions the company recommends. I expressed my concerns to Macys who pointed me to the manufacturer for the warranty. After sending pictures, the company told me the dozens of chips are “normal wear and tear” and are not covered under any warranty. Their sell is that although the pans are chipping, I should be concerned because they’re not “unhealthy” particles. I’m extremely disappointed in the quality of these pans. Shouldn’t be that surprised given American companies make everything as cheaply as possible these days. Wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for a legitimate high quality set.
