April 15, 2024Listen, I’m as big of a fan of a good old fashioned, pretty, metal water bottle as the next girlie pop…BUT I have some beef with this 64oz Stanley. TikTok controls my brain and my wallet at this point, so I was HEAVILY (but very easily) influenced into buying one of these. Well, one small bank loan later, there she was – 12.44”, 1.80lbs of built tough all-American steel…or aluminum…or whatever it’s made of. The rigidity was never my concern, it was the claim of being, what they call, “leak resistant”. So it was to my shock, horror, and surprise, that after I carried my Stanley in my backpack into work, I felt a wet sensation down my backside and opened my pack to a lovely little puddle of water at the bottom. Now I’m not in the habit of cartwheeling, somersaulting, or barrel rolling into my place of employment, so I was a little discouraged when a water bottle that was, what I thought, completely upright seemed to have leaked a quarter of its contents into my backpack. Unless Stanley didn’t disclose that this water bottle performs some type of osmosis under certain conditions, I’m going to say this does far from resist leaks. Seems to encourage them, actually. All I can say to those who want to drive with one of these in their car…good luck. I took one small left turn and in 3.5 seconds my entire passenger side front seat was submerged. You really never know how much water is 64oz until you’re going 80 on the freeway and a Stanley tips over. Hindsight, I should have buckled in the water bottle, or barricaded it with something so it didn’t tip or roll, but I guess I just didn’t think I would have to worry about any of those things with…a leak resistant…water bottle…DON’T TURN YOUR BACK ON THIS WATER BOTTLE. If placed on a surface that’s 0.05 degrees off from level, just expect it to leak. Get renters insurance, or some type of homeowners insurance because if this thing goes down, you have about 5 seconds until you’re flooded. She’s a gorgeous gorgeous girl, but unfortunately has a terrible personality. After this, I’m convinced Stanley owners don’t ever move them. They just have their bottles stationary on a table, and that’s where they live for the rest of their little bottle lives. I love my big bertha, but I don’t trust her. I know Stanley carries another 64oz water bottle with the flip straw, which may help with leaking, but this one is just prettier. Plain and simple. And has the side handle. Come on.
A little story.

October 13, 2024I went to my local store… There was a line and a group of women in front of me who were talking quite loudly about how they were going to buy 5 each which would have been the known stock. They had been talking about how they already bought 1-4 online between them was boasting about it. I could was slightly annoyed as I only wanted just one and figured I didn't have a chance at this point…. The time came for the doors to open and the employee let everyone in, giving us an idea where they were located at. We all walked in that general direction, but I know the particular shop like the back of my hand so I noticed the others were taking the long way around and I “B” lined straight to the mentioned location while they all trailed off in the opposite direction. An employee saw me and waved me over and said “they're right here” and I walked over and grabbed one the very first one there. I saw one woman who was standing behind me who was also quietly and subtlely annoyed at the boastfulness and I waved her over and she came that way and grabbed hers too… I think the others caught on at that point because the others all turned around and came that way (running)… The women from the front of the line shouted “we were here first” and by the time they got there I think most everyone else were able to get what they wanted and these ones didn't get their “5 each”… I have my one and I am happy with that. Absolutely insane to think there are people buying them all up to just sell them at a premium or hoard them for whatever other purpose. I feel awful for all the honest people who just wanted their fair share and were unable to get it because of greed. The cups are very cute.
Pretty color, but…..

May 13, 2024So I have a lot of re-usable cups/mugs/tumblers; I vary depending on my mood, but they all average around 20 - 24 oz. Saw the Stanley 40 oz quencher in Pomelo and fell in love - the prettiest shade of pale yellow that I had to buy it. I actually bought two - one to just keep at work, and one to always stay in my car so I can stay better hydrated as I drive a LOT between 3 states. So, a few things that bugs me:
1) When this tumbler is full, it’s insanely heavy, and the handle feels awkward to grasp - it feels like WAY too much weight on the handle. I end up sliding my hand inside the handle so my hand cups the tumbler but I still have to hold it with my other hand because it is REALLY heavy when full. I have read a lot of reviews between here and the Stanley website where people have issues with the handle breaking. I would assume it’s because of the weight issue when full which a plastic handle can’t continuously take. I know Stanley offers a “lifetime warranty” so I would recommend if you buy it, save your receipt and the SKU label just in case. And maybe don’t fill it up all the way.
2) It’s a bit “top heavy” when full due to the narrower base (car cup-holder design) and can tip easily if you accidentally bump into it even slightly. I have to be careful where I set my tumbler down due to this. I love the color, but the design could use some tweaking.
A little disappointed in the brown..

August 8, 2024I was a little shocked at how many people bought the “brown” color. I wasn’t sure if I would like it or not so I ordered the brown and the taupe. For some reason, I just took a chance on the one that nobody was buying. After these 2 cups arrived, my gut instinct was correct. I think if I was wearing a monochrome outfit with my brown UGGs, the brown cup would match. Other than that, I feel like it is a weird light coffee tannish color.. I wish it was more brown, but what I can say is the taupe, is gorgeous. The detailing has burgundy. I see why they made these three colors. The brown matches the popular UGGs, but somehow it’s too matchy. The taupe, is gorgeous. It looks sophisticated. It matches pretty much everything for fall. Even if I were wearing brown UGGs, I would go with the taupe, if I were wearing leggings and or all black. Here is where it gets interesting, since I like the burgundy so much, I ordered that one too. My honest opinion is is that the taupe, matches anything jeans, even with the popular Uggs that are brown. The taupe also matches anything black or Leggins. And the burgundy matches better with gray. If you brown go with that color. Do your thing, but I think we are all going to be surprised at how pretty the other two colors are! I will be returning the brown color but keeping the other two. Personally, I just need a cup that matches gray, black, dark blue, leggings, and jeans, the brown is not it for me. Hope this helps. I will add pictures to My review soon!
