Worst tires I have purchased in 30 years
George· Review provided by toyotires.com · August 28, 2024
Purchased my first set of Toyo Tires, Open Country A/T III to replace the factory Duratracs on my 2022 F350 Tremor. So far I have had the entire set balanced 3 times. Once at the original tire shop and twice at other tire stores including a road force balance that showed one tire had a 56 rating. Took the truck back to the original dealer and the 56 rated tire had jumped to 66. Dealer ordered a new tire and upon mounting and road force balancing the new tire was a 46 rating. Dealer ordered a 3rd tire which came out with a 26 rating. Drove the truck and there was still a hop in one of the tires but not bad. 3 days later and the tire hop at 35 MPH is excessive.

These tires ride very rough with vibrations in the steering wheel from 60 to 80 MPH. Truck is a 2022 F350 Tremor with 40K miles on the clock.

Have to say these are the absolute worst tires I have bought in 30 years. Going to take it back to the original dealer to see if we can t get anther tire that will give a decent ride. Build date of all these tires including the 2 replaced is 19/24.

Wife and I own a small business and my truck is my field office. I don't have time to keep taking my truck back to the tire shop to chase bad tires that do not ride smoothly without vibrations and jumps.
Perfect size, load capacity and tire weight
Apples· Review provided by toyotires.com · July 14, 2024
No other tire maker offers a 34 X 10.50 X R17LT (except BFG for 150% more money). I have run these now for six months on 8.5"-wide Method 705 wheels. These measure 33.5". I share the opinion of others more knowledgeable than I that a narrower tire is better for everything except sheer grip on pavement. A narrower tire is lighter for it's selected diameter and load range, does not push as much loose soil or sand out in front of it and when airing down for this kind of off-highway travel a tire's contact patch grows more in length, anyway.

If you're thinking of a change to a sub-11" tire width, these are the tires to have. I'd sure like to see more people running them so we can remain hopeful that Toyo will continue to offer them. For a full-size 1/2 ton truck, SUV or Jeep, these are the ticket. Don't hang 75+lb tires on your 1/2 ton! (if it's a 3/4 ton, have at it) Meanwhile, these are just about the perfect do-it-all tire for pavement transportation then off-highway travel through the high deserts of the western states which is where our experience lies.
Excellent snow tyres for a 4x4

Just for the fact that, here in Europe, these tyres are half the price of BFG's they should get 5 stars !
The 3PMSF logo is vital here in the French Alps as it is now law and the marking means they can be considered "specialist equipment" such as chains.
In my testing on my old L200 Triton has shown remarkable snow traction on hardpacked and loose snow. I replaced the old Toyo open County AT plus tyres with these AT3's and the difference is noticable.
In hard packed snow they grip with confidence, rarely even needing 4wd. On loose snow they push through with no issues. Only when the terrain gets a little steeper and the snow gets to over the tyre depth do they start to spin at all.
In the mud they behave far better than expected with traction from the get go and very predictable handling.
On road, they are, well, like road tyres ! No noise and handle well (even on an old Mitsi!)
In short, for the price, excellent. Shame they didnt do raised white letters though.
Low tread after 20k miles
Future non-customer· Review provided by toyotires.com · December 17, 2024
After just about three years and 21k miles, these tires are now at 4/32" tread. Tire shop I purchased from said they were not eligible for warranty claim due to "edge wear". The edge wear is minor at best and does little to account for the very, very rapid wearing of these tires.

Before the tires wore down, I found the ride smooth and quiet, but I did not find these tires to be particularly exceptional in snow/wet weather conditions, which was a significant factor in my decision to purchase these tires initially. On top of that, frankly, they don't look that good. Most competitor's tires of this sort are more "aggressive" and just simply better looking.

I will most certainly not be purchasing this line again, and given the rapid treadwear, will most likely be moving away from Toyo entirely.
