Description

With video recorders it is known to use an automatic tape Provide limit switch so that the device at the end of a Tape automatically after a recording or playback switches off and the take-up plate is not fully wound belt continues to run at increased speed. This itself Active limit switch is particularly important when the recorder e.g. B. controlled by a clock in the absence of the operator automatically takes a picture.

In a known limit switch (DE-PS 26 56 199) is on Device provided a light source over a transparent th band end portion and a photo element the control circuit triggers the belt drive and thus the shutdown of the belt drive causes. During normal operation when recording and playback becomes the light coming from the light source beam through the non-transparent magnetic tape from the photo element kept away.

It has been shown that in practice in different cases an unwanted shutdown of the VCR during  normal operation occurred during recording or playback. This is particularly disadvantageous if the recorder has no open view works. Then a desired one, possibly not replaceable shipment not at all or incompletely draws.

The cause of this unwanted shutdown was initially not known. An error in the light source and the tax Circuit in the belt drive could not be determined. The light beam from the light source and the magnetic tape had also the correct relative position to each other, such that the Magnetic tape completely shines the light beam from the photo element shielded. Also glue points or kinks in the magnetic tape at the point of shutdown were not ascertainable.

The invention has for its object the recorder to train that said unwanted shutdown no longer occurs.

This task is by the He described in claim 1 finding solved. Advantageous developments of the invention are described in the subclaims.

The invention is based on the following knowledge. By damage The magnetic layer of the video has defects or manufacturing defects occasionally small holes or breaks in which completely lack the magnetic layer or differ from the Carrier film of the magnetic tape has loosened. The tape itself without however, the magnetic layer is transparent, so that the light through the tape and the holes mentioned on the photo element hits and triggers the unwanted shutdown. By the The signals are now low-pass due to the short flashes of light suppressed by such holes because the very short light flashes only contain signal components with high frequencies. The mentioned holes only generate a needle-shaped pulse.

This causes the undesired shutdown of the belt drive. By using the low pass it can easily be different from that at the actual end section signal differentiated will. During a short pulse due to the holes only about Lasts 10-100 ms, the signal has at the transparent band End section a duration of 1.5-3 s. This signal comes across the low pass to the control circuit for the tape drive and can trigger the limit switch in the desired manner.

Darin zeigtAn embodiment of the invention is based on the drawing explained. It shows

Fig. 1 ein Prinzipschaltbild der Erfindung und Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of the invention and

Fig. 2 Kurven zur Erläuterung der Wirkungsweise. Fig. 2 curves to explain the operation.

In Fig. 1, the transparent video tape 1 is provided with the magnetic layer 2 and completed at its end with the transparent end portion 3 . The belt 1 is moved in the direction 4 between the light source 6 fed by the current source 5 and the photo transistor 7 . The photo transistor 7 is connected through the amplifier 8 and the RC -element 9, 10 feature having the threshold flip-flop 11, the output of which controls the control circuit 12 for the belt drive. The magnetic layer 2 has a defect in the form of the small hole 13 , for. B. due to damage or a manufacturing inaccuracy. The hole 13 can also arise with frequent use of the tape by detaching the magnetic layer 2 from the video tape 1 .

When the video tape 1 moves in the direction 4 , the hole 13 passes between the light source and the phototransistor 7 , so that the light beam 14 strikes the phototransistor 7 . The intensity L of the light beam 14 is shown in Fig. 2a at the time t 1 . This short needle-shaped light beam , however, only produces a relatively small voltage pulse 15 according to FIG . This pulse 15 does not reach the triggering threshold U s of the flip-flop 11 , so that the flip-flop 11 does not emit a pulse and the control circuit 12 does not trip due to the hole 13 .

B. eine Zeitkonstante in der Größenordnung von 800 ms.At time t 2 , the transparent end section 3 passes between the light source 6 and the phototransistor 7 . Since the entire band is now transparent, the intensity L and duration of the light beam 14 are significantly greater than at time t 1 . As a result of the voltage U 1 on the capacitor 10 increases to a higher value and reaches the threshold value U s at time t 3 . This triggers the flip-flop 11 and, in the desired manner, causes the limit switch for the transport of the video tape 1 via the control circuit 12 . The RC member 9, 10 has z. B. a time constant in the order of 800 ms.

Bei einem praktisch erprobten Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung hatten die Bauteile des Tiefpasses 9, 10 folgende Werte:In a practically tested embodiment of the invention, the components of the low pass 9, 10 had the following values:

R 9: 8,2 kOhm
C 10: 100 µF
R 9 : 8.2 kOhm
C 10 : 100 µF
